Silly Little Songs

Howdy! i'm connie and i'm an international studies major from texas! but most importantly, i'm a loud and proud Fightin' Texas A&M Aggie, Class of 2015! gig 'em, ags!

I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.

watching this again. still getting chills. damn, i can’t believe i’m missing this season! but i will be there for the national championship game. mark. my. words.

Moments like these make us realize how blessed we are. Moments like these make us see how there is still good in humanity. Moments like these makes us stand together, unite as one, and become a family.

These moments are hard. These moments should never happen. But unfortunately, the world is such a scary, cruel place that it has to happen. It sucks how it’s so close to home. It sucks how there are people I care about near there. It sucks to see people in pain and in tears.

But we’ll get through these moments just like how we have gotten through the others.

I am extremely proud of our Student Body President for vetoing the Religious Funding Exemption Bill. I know he is very passionate about his beliefs, but I am super glad he was able to put it aside to see the moral wrongness of the situation. I hope our Student Body Senate feels ashamed of making the world see Texas A&M in a negative light. Although what was seen by others was not in the Aggie spirit, the negative response towards the passing of the bill that numerous Aggies was. Yes, we are a conservative school, but our 12th man student body is nothing like what we showed the world yesterday. We stand behind one another and are willing to step up to help each other when we need it.

Dear everyone,

I know. I go to a school that is an embarrassment to society and that’s incapable of moving forward. In all honesty, if I knew such decision would be made or even come up before I made my decision to come here, I would in a heartbeat choose another school. I apologize to and hurt for everyone this has affected, especially those Aggies who feel like A&M cannot be their home, their safe haven anymore.

Hopefully the upper-government of A&M knows what is best for the school and our name as an established university. If not, it’s really time for me to reconsider what kind of university I want my name to be attached to.

I urge everyone and anyone who cares about this matter to get informed of the stupidest decision A&M has made. Make your voice heard about what this bill means and how it will affect and change everything. And, yes. This post is an invitation to all Aggie jokes. If this bill passes, I will gladly be displaying my diploma has a handicapped sticker. In fact, my diploma will be worth even less than a handicapped sticker.
